Undergraduate Non-resident Fee Waiver

One of the latest benefits Jackson State University offers to our alumni is the Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver. This waiver
is to out-of-state students whose parents or legal guardians are Regular or Life members of the Jackson State University National
Alumni Association. Fifty (50) percent of the fee will be waived for the children of Regular members and 100 percent of the fee will
be waived for the children of Life members.

Effective October 1, 2007, life membership must be paid in full 90 days in advance of Fall, Spring, and Summer
registration dates to be eligible for non-resident fee waiver.

Requirements for the Undergraduate Non-resident Fee Waiver:

1. Only legal out-of-state dependent children are eligible for the Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver (Birth Certificates or legal
documentation may be required for verification).

2. Students must maintain a minimum of a 2.5 overall grade point average. The grade point average will be reviewed at the end of
each semester for students who have been approved for the Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver.

3. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours.

4. Graduate students are ineligible for the Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver.

5. Renewals will be granted to all students who maintain a 2.5 or better grade point average and are enrolled in 12 semester
hours.

6. Students who do not adhere to the above requirements are subject to the cost of the out-of-state fee being reversed and added
to their student accounts.

7. All Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver recipients must become active members of the Pre-Alumni Club or a corresponding
state club (i.e. the Alabama or the Michigan Club)

8. Juniors and Seniors who receive the Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver must volunteer three (3) hours per week in the
Office of Alumni Relations.

9. Undergraduate Nonresident Fee Waiver recipients are only eligible to receive the waiver for 8 semesters and 2 summer
sessions.
